DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY OF
YOUR MDM FIREARM

DISASSEMBLY:

Step 1.   Ensure that the rifle is in the unloaded condition,
unprimed and uncharged.

Step 2.   Remove the breech plug system from your firearm.

Start by depressing the receiver opening plunger and the barrel
will rotate downward to the open action position.

A wrench

has been supplied with your MDM firearm, one
end is a hex socket design to fit our breech plugs.

Insert
the appropriate end into the breech system and rotate it in a
counter-clockwise direction to remove the system.

You may
have to exert some initial force in order to “release” the gas
seal which was formed when the breech plug was originally
“snugged” to the barrel during installation.

There will be
initial resistance to overcome with this procedure.

Step 3.   The TOMWACKA shotgun may be equipped with a
screw-in, XX FULL TURKEY choke tube, designed to allow
removal without the aid of a wrench.

Removal is necessary
for loading shot cups and suggested for cleaning.

Grasping
between thumb and index fi nger, rotate the choke tube in a
counter-clockwise direction until it is free to be removed from
the barrel.
This is all that is required to inspect and /or clean the bore
of your MDM fi
rearm.

Step 4.  To remove the barrel from the receiver you will next
remove the ramrod from the firearm.

Step 5.   Now unscrew the forearm sling swivel stud in a
counterclockwise direction until it is unattached from barrel.

Step 6.   Next, grip the forearm stock at the muzzle end and
pull down in a direction going away from barrel until it is free
from the mounting lug on barrel and completely remove it

from the firearm.

Step 7.   The fi nal step is to depress the receiver opening
plunger and the barrel will rotate downward for removal.

Further disassembly of any part of the receiver assembly
will void warranty.

If additional service is required,
contact the factory.

ASSEMBLY:

Step 1.   Attach the barrel back onto the receiver by simply
placing the radii of the rotation block on barrel onto the
rotation pin located in receiver.

This is accomplished with the
fi rearm in the action open position.

Step 2.  With the first step complete, rotate the barrel upward
where it will snap and lock into the closed breech position.

Step 3. Reassemble the forearm stock to the barreled action
by fi rst inserting the rotation cap end of stock into the radii of
the receiver.

The forearm can now be rotated upward, fitting
over the forearm lug on the barrel.

This procedure may require
minimum force which will seat the forearm back with a snug
fi t against the receiver.

Step 4.   The forearm sling stud may now be screwed in a
clockwise direction to a snug fit, finalizing the assembly of the
receiver/barrel action.

Step 5.   Replace the ramrod to its proper location.

Step 6.   Open the action and reinsert the breech plug utilizing
the Tee- wrench through the breech end of the gun and into the
barrel, turning in a clockwise rotation.

CAUTION: DO NOT  OVER-TIGHTEN!

Snug the breech plug after it bottoms out.

Please be sure to coat the threads liberally with any hightemperature
synthetic grease.

This is very important to aid
in the disassembly procedure after the gun has been fired.

Step 7.   If you are assembling a TOMWACKA shotgun, you
should now replace the optional choke tube.

Carefully replace
the tube into the muzzle end of the barrel, with the threaded
end of the choke tube being inserted.

With your fingers you
can align and start screwing the tube in a clockwise rotation
into the barrel.

Take extreme care in aligning the threads
and be careful not to cross thread the tube.

There should be
very little resistance when screwing the choke tube into the
barrel.
When the tube is threaded all the way into the barrel, you
should now firmly snug the choke tube into barrel.
